Allanah Zitserman

Allanah is a filmmaker who has been creating stories for the screen for over two decades. Her debut feature Russian Doll starring Hugo Weaving was the first local film to celebrate the Jewish / Australian fusion in Bondi. Her most recent film, Ladies in Black celebrated women of the 50s and the impact of European migration. Allanah's next project follows a housewife in 1976 who escapes suburbia for a liberating girls' night out in Sydney.

Allanah's passion is to tell female stories that invigorate conversations. She will be generating discussion with us about how to manage the complicated 'business of being a woman' in 2024 and still give back to our community — an innate need in us as beings.
